This error is generated on systems which are not running the very latest version of DirectX. You can download the update for free from www.Microsoft.com/Directx. Download the latest version and then uninstall and reinstall Hitman Blood Money. The game should then work correctly.

Please Note: You may not get a notification that DirectX has been updated once you have run the update. You can ignore the message, the update is very small and only replaces a few files.
